It’s year-end time and with 12th Standard’s Boards Exam near, there must be a common question barging every single student. What to do after completing 12th? Many students ask questions on Quora and various career counselling websites regarding courses one can pursue. And most of them are by Science students asking good options other than Engineering.
Well, this article is for such students only. I am myself an Engineering students and sometimes I feel like I’m not made for it. This is what Indian Society’s like. Everyone thinks that if you’ve taken Sciences as your major in 11th, then you can do nothing but engineering two years later. Let me tell you that they are a lot of other choices to choose from.
So here are some courses that can be done after 12th science, other than Engineering.
A B.Sc. Degree followed by an M.Sc. Degree from a good college can be much beneficial to you and help build a promising career. The best part about this course is that there is immense scope in the research field. Some of the well-known and promising B.Sc. disciplines are Agriculture, IT, Computer Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Hotel Management, and Biotechnology.
BBA is like a course just below the level of MBA. It stands for Bachelor of Business Administration. BBA followed by MBA is a good prospect for mathematics group students also. Doing just BBA may also help you land a job.
- BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies)
BMS is a very good management course. 12th Science stream students are eligible to pursue this 3 years course. BMS and BBA both are management courses. But BMS focuses more on traditional management education and elements of Commerce too.
- BHM (Bachelor of Hotel Management)
It is 4 years long Undergraduate program and highly job oriented. It prepares students to take on roles and jobs in the Hotel and Travel Industry. Pursuing this Bachelor’s Degree course from a recognized Institute can be the best step.
- Fashion and design related courses
When it comes to Fashion and Design related courses, degree, diploma, and certification programs are available. Some of the renowned programs are Bachelor of Fashion Design and Technology and Bachelor of Interior Designing.
- Commercial pilot training
12th Science students may go for CPL training right after 12th. But it’s a little expensive. Students must first clear a Pilot Aptitude test and other medical examinations to be considered eligible to undergo training.
